Manager, Systems Development & Testing

Kjell is responsible for managing the development and testing departments in Unico and as such focuses on ensuring that the technical teams have the capability of delivering best practice products and solutions to Unico’s customers.

Kjell’s Australian Telco/IT career took off in 1983 when he immigrated and joined Ericsson Australia as a systems engineer in their Telstra technical development program. Whilst with Ericsson he held a number of senior management roles both in Australia and overseas and was instrumental in driving and improving Ericsson Australia’s software development processes and delivery program towards becoming a best practice operation.

Most recently before joining Unico Kjell operated his own management consulting business and has carried out major contract and consulting assignments here in Melbourne with organisations such as Optus, DHS, Foxtel and Huawei.

Kjell has an Engineering Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Sven-Erikson Skolan in Sweden and now lives in Strathmore, actually in the same street where the Australian movie “The Castle” was made. Whenever family life allows Kjell enjoys improving his own castle and in particular the home cinema and hifi equipment distributed throughout the house.
