Manager, Integration Services

As Manager of the Integration Services department, John leads the team who integrate, test and release the software solutions Unico develops for Telstra’s mobile networks; provide stability and management capability for the IP network and UNIX platforms in Telstra’s Testing and Integration Centre (TIC); and provide support for Telstra’s International Roaming testing.

After joining Unico as an Integration Tester in June 2001, John built a growing team of sixteen integration specialists working onsite with Telstra in Sydney.

Before joining Unico, John had a successful four years with Silicon and Software Systems (S3) which designs integrated circuits and embedded software solutions for the world’s leading technology companies, including Fujjtsu, Lucent and Philips. His final year at S3 was spent onsite with Fujitsu in the United States, where he managed a testing and development team. During a brief stint at Optus Telecommunications, John was part of the intercarrier billing team working on the then-controversial issue of billing discrepancies.

The sense of camaraderie and the strong support from colleagues are particular elements of the Unico culture John values. Besides spending time with his growing family, John enjoys reading, listening to music and watching soccer.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications from Dublin City University.
