As CEO of Unico, I am fortunate to lead an organisation which is highly regarded by its customers and employees.

Since our 21st birthday in June 2005, we have accelerated our growth and stepped up to the next level in our evolution. Of the many goals I have for Unico, two are most important.

The first is to build upon Unico’s strengths as a trusted developer of highly reliable software for high-throughput, mission-critical systems. This means having the ability to develop, test, integrate and support our products quickly and cost-effectively in a fast changing environment.

My other main objective is to preserve the friendly, collaborative and special culture that was created by Mike Palmer and Geoff Illing when they founded Unico. A culture in which we offer our staff stimulating and exciting projects, while taking a holistic approach to health, fitness, our community and the environment.

We’re proud of our accomplishments for all our customers, and especially Telstra. Our systems handle almost 100 million calls per day ─ every call and SMS to a Telstra mobile phone (and most from) goes through our systems. This relationship goes back to the late ‘80s and, during this time, we’ve helped Telstra move through AMPS, 2G (GSM and CDMA), 2.5G and 3G to create seamless products and services across different platforms.

Looking ahead, I see Unico increasing its strategic relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 businesses to deliver the solutions they need to be more competitive ─ solutions to get products to market quickly, to manage systems, and to manage customers.

In all our relationships, we strive to create value for our staff, for our customers and, more importantly, for our customers’ customers.
