Unico’s Graduate Programme ensures that you experience the full breadth of our operations by providing you with a rotational development plan for the first 12 months of your employment. Commencing with a comprehensive induction and training programme you will then undertake work in various departments which span all aspects of the software development lifecycle, such as development, testing, operational support and our Internal Support Group.
At the successful completion of the developmental and rotation programme we will match your skills, talent and area of career interest with a role in one of the key areas within the business. Of course, that is not the end of your professional development within Unico. We provide a culture of continuous learning, development and career growth opportunities.
OUR IDEAL GRADUATES
We employ graduate Software Engineers/Developers, Software Testers, Operational Support Engineers and Network/System Administrators. Ideally, you will have:
- A high academic average
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Initiative, ambition, attention to detail, a desire to learn, and a team spirit
- Work or university project experience in programming, testing, support or systems administration
- Knowledge/study in areas such as Unix/Linux, Networks, Java, J2EE, C++ or other OOD. Familiarity with databases, particularly Oracle 9i & 10g and SQL will be highly regarded
- Understanding of software engineering principles (i.e. the software development lifecycle, quality management, etc.)
Unico employs graduates from degrees in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications Engineering. We are also open to graduates from other disciplines who wish to work in the ICT industry.
