The Unico Graduate Program

At Unico you will have the opportunity to work with state of the art technologies and work on interesting, high-visibility projects as part of a friendly and highly talented team.

Unico’s Graduate Programme ensures that you experience the full breadth of our operations by providing you with a rotational development plan for the first 12 months of your employment. Commencing with a comprehensive induction programme you will then undertake work in various departments spanning all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Roles that you may fill during your first 12 months include: Business Analyst, Development Engineer, Test Engineer, System Administrator, Pre-sales Engineer, Research/Investigation Prototyping Engineer.

At the successful completion of the developmental and rotation programme we will match your skills, talent and area of career interest with a role in one of the key areas within the business. Of course, that is not the end of your professional development within Unico. We provide a culture of continuous learning, development and career growth opportunities.

Our Ideal Graduates

Ideally, you will have:

  • A high academic average
  • Relevant work experience or university project based experience (in development, testing, support or services)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative, ambition, attention to detail, a desire to learn
  • Knowledge/study in areas such as Unix/Linux, Networks, Java, J2EE, C++ or other OOD. Familiarity with databases, particularly Oracle 9i & 10g and SQL will be highly regarded
  • Understanding of software engineering principles (i.e. the software development lifecycle, quality management, etc.)

Unico employs graduates from degrees in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications Engineering. We are also open to graduates from other disciplines who wish to work in the ICT industry.
