Commitment, because meeting stringent technical requirements, quality standards and deadlines can be challenging and requires total dedication from everyone involved.

Finding the balance
Although we work hard and take our responsibilities seriously Unico is also an open, friendly and supportive community. We make sure that we enjoy and look after ourselves both physically and mentally through a range of social and sports activities.
Health
We believe in the mantra “healthy mind, healthy body” so we provide a wide range of activities to help promote both.
For those who wish to participate there is a wide range of sporting and fitness activities including boxercise, yoga, pilates, indoor and outdoor soccer, corporate cup running, outdoor agility training, table tennis, a fully equipped onsite gym and ride-to-work mornings (followed by a gourmet breakfast at the end of your gruelling journey).

Our busy social calendar is testament to the emphasis Unico places on social camaraderie. Highlights include:
Our popular cake ritual: Whenever a milestone is achieved either as a team or as an individual we make sure we celebrate with cake
Our annual customer golf day: Once a year we invite customers and employees to spend a day hacking the turf together on our golf day. Regardless of job function or golfing proficiency, the day provides an opportunity to reinforce the close working relationship we have with our customers
Friday night drinks, often accompanied by wine and cheese tasting, provide an opportunity to unwind from a tough week and share the highs and lows with our colleagues.
Community
The community spirit that lives within the organisation also extends to the wider community; Unico makes significant donations to several charities chosen by employees, and sponsors a team to participate in the annual “Around the Bay in a Day” cycling event for the Smith Family. We also encourage and support smaller scale, personal initiatives by our team members.
